Hospices de Beaune
the Hospices target the business tourism market
In the heart of Beaune and easy to reach from the nearby car parks, the Latour Seminar Centre is an ideal venue for seminars, meetings and receptions, held in an intimate, historic and prestigious setting. The Seminar Centre is on the first floor of the Hôtel Dieu, with views over the main courtyard and gardens, offering a total area of 275m² broken down into a number of rooms, including:
- A 75 m² conference room to accommodate up to 50 people. The room is fitted with a sound system and I.T. equipment (overhead projector, desks with microphones, bridging interfaces)
- A 65 m² room that can be arranged into 1 to 3 rooms to accommodate 60 people.
- And a reception room, known as the “Chambre du Roy”; the room was used for the visit of king Louis XIV and can accommodate 100 people.
- Also available are a kitchen, control room, office technology room, cloakrooms and washrooms.
For receptions of up to 500 people, the Hospices can offer their Medieval Bastion. This 15th Century former defensive tower forms part of the ramparts that circle Beaune and is particularly well suited to hosting organized evenings and events.
A historic detail: since the Middle Ages, the Hospices have built up a prestigious wine estate through donations and, every year, organize the world’s best-known charity sale: the Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction.
During a seminar, it is possible to organize a private tasting in the 15th Century cellars and, of course, visit the Hôtel Dieu museum with a guide and see this outstanding example of Franco-Flemish architecture.
